Chi-Rho (☧) is an early Christian symbol formed by superimposing the Greek letters Chi (Χ) and Rho (Ρ), which are the first two letters of the word for "Christ" It is a Christogram, a monogram for Jesus Christ, that represented a secret sign of faith for early Christians. While the X is printed on the garment the P is created from the zipper and hood.
